Frequently asked questions
What the data is, where it comes from, and what SQUERY does not do. Questions asked often enough by visitors are added to this page.
- Where does the data come from?
- Fund portfolios come from the fund houses' own published disclosures (the XLSX and PDF reports they are required to publish) and from analizy.pl. Prices and NAV history come from analizy.pl, industry assets and flows from IZFiA — shown on the industry dashboard — FX and gold from NBP, and rates from GPW Benchmark. Every figure carries the date its source reported it, and how we handle that is written down.
- How current is the data?
- Prices update daily. Fund portfolios update whenever the fund house publishes, which is monthly, quarterly or semi-annually depending on the fund. Because funds report on their own schedules, two funds in one answer often carry different as-of dates — we show that rather than hide it.
- Which funds do you cover?
- Polish funds — FIO, SFIO, FIZ and PPK — plus ETFs listed on the GPW, and foreign UCITS that Polish funds feed into. You can see the exact live counts on the home page; they change as new disclosures land. Browse any of it in the Fund Explorer.
- What is look-through and why does it matter?
- Around 34 Polish funds are feeders: they hold a single line item in a foreign master fund, so their own disclosure tells you almost nothing about what you actually own. We parse the masters' annual reports too, so the real underlying portfolio is visible. Master coverage is partial and growing.
- How does the agent avoid making things up?
- SQ Agent is a tool-using agent, not a chatbot with opinions. It searches funds, reads holdings, computes returns and ranks results with real queries against the database, then writes the answer from those results. When it cannot find something it says so, and every figure it reports carries the date of the data behind it.
- Can I try the agent without signing up?
- Yes — open the agent and ask: three questions a day with no account and no card. A paid plan removes the limit.
- Do you have an API?
- Yes: a REST API documented with OpenAPI, and a Model Context Protocol server so Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients can query the dataset directly. Both need a paid plan and a key. Some read-only endpoints are public and need no key at all.
- Is there a free tier?
- Yes. Free gives you the full Fund Explorer, fund details, holdings, exports and 3 agent questions a day. Unlimited agent, dashboards, API and MCP need Pro (EUR 49.90/month) or Ultra (EUR 89.90/month) — compare the plans.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes, from your account page. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and plan changes are prorated. Refunds are available within 7 days of an initial subscription.
- What payment methods do you accept?
- Cards, through Stripe. You can manage the subscription yourself from the account page — no phone calls and no sales meetings.
- Is this investment advice?
- No. SQUERY provides data and analytics — what we are and are not is set out in full. We do not manage money, never touch client funds, and take no commissions from fund houses — so there is no incentive to flatter anyone’s numbers. What you get is the data: clean, dated and defensible.
- Can I use this in a regulated process?
- That is what it is built for, and the trust page is the one to forward to compliance. Figures are dated, sourced and reproducible, which is what a KNF, MiFID II, KID, DORA or GDPR review asks of them. Whether a given use fits your own obligations is a call for your compliance function, not for us.
